We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Product Developer. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person to join a fast-paced and fast-growing company.
The successful applicant will be working as part of a close-knit team, working with some of the country’s largest and most influential retailers and directional streetwear customers on varied product areas. Previous experience in fashion is essential along with knowledge of fabrics, tech packs, product development cycles and experience liaising with various customers and factories
The Role:
- Working as part of the design and development team.
- Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow.
- Working with design and tech teams to create tech packs to brief out to suppliers.
- Create and manage sample trackers for each supplier & customer.
- Management and review of development samples, lab dips, fabric developments, trims.
- Reviewing samples with design and tech teams to give feedback to customers and suppliers, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved at all times.
- Frequent brand competitor research & analysis to generate new ideas, concepts, areas for growth.
- Use of initiative and creativity to bring new ideas to the team, sharing knowledge and contributing.-An enthusiastic and energetic work ethic.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects with good prioritisation skills.
- Able to quickly adapt to last minute changes and feedback.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

About you:
- 2 + years of experience
- Knowledge of Excel, Adobe Illustrator
- Experience working with and factories overseas
- Good with people management.
- Experience in pricing structure and product costings/negotiation.

- Strong organizational & time management skills.
- Key understanding of garment construction

The role:
An exciting opportunity for a Product Technologist in the Home Furnishings industry, supplying UK High Street retail and e-commerce sectors. Your job is to ensure a product moves from its design and development stage into the hands of the retailer or end user. You will work closely with internal stake holders, overseas manufacturers and the customer to fully meet or exceed expectations for product compliance, quality, packaging, sustainability, on time delivery and end user performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely and collaboratively with teams across the business.
• Evaluate new developments/products to ensure they are suitable for bulk manufacture and compliant with UK/EU statutory requirements, meet performance requirements and customer expectation.
• Attend and contribute to pre-production & handover meetings via close liaison with Design, Development and Customer Account stake holders.
• Issue detailed product and packaging specifications to overseas manufacturers.
• Populate, maintain and manage relevant sections of a detailed critical path to ensure timely product launch. Communicate with overseas manufacturers to ensure key milestones are met.
• Attend & contribute to weekly critical path meetings.
• Take responsibility for assigned product categories. Provide regular updates with internal and external stake holders.
• Review strike-offs, bulk fabric, packaging proofs and red/gold seal samples against standards to ensure compliance to internal and customer requirements. Communicate appropriate approvals and rejections back to the supplier.
• Hold suppliers accountable and maintain KPIs. Encourage 'right first time' sample submission within agreed deadlines.
• Ensure products are tested to relevant standards and perform product risk assessments where appropriate.
• Review test reports to ensure products are compliant and meet specified standards.
• Deal quickly and effectively with daily email communications to and from suppliers, customers and internal stake holders.
• Evaluate pre-shipment inspection reports in partnership with our overseas teams.
• Analyse product returns, faults and customer complaints to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Skills and Experience:
• Must have experience in a similar role, ideally within Home Textiles.
• Technical knowledge of products, specifications and testing.
• A good understanding of manufacturing methods and quality standards.
• Ability to understand and follow a critical path and work to deadlines.
• Organised, and capable of prioritising multiple tasks.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience using Adobe Illustrator desirable, but not essential.
• A strong communicator with ability to present confidently via email, audio conferencing and face to face with internal stake holders, suppliers and customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a high volume, fast paced environment.
• Competent using Microsoft Excel, Word and Office.

The successful applicant would benefit from experience in denim and will join the MD, supporting the design team, working with some of the country’s largest and most influential retailers and directional streetwear customers on varied product areas.
The role:
To manage a smaller team of 4 designers
Working with key streetwear brands and retailers
The role is multi branded working on men’s / boys semi casual trend lead ranges including denim
To be the lead with regards to trend analysis, competitor analysis and seasonal direction
Work with Account Managers to plan seasonal key dates for design / development of key collections
Manage designers workload and ensure design deadlines are achieved on key projects
Attend customer meetings / take briefs / confidently present trends and design work
Engage with customers to develop collections, liaise on design and development
Engage with suppliers to develop trims, fabric and wash development, sample development
Visit factories as needed to brief collections / develop product and nurture relationships
Attend trade shows, organise design travel calendar with regards to UK shop reports, international and UK research trips etc
Review samples and manage design team workload with regards to sample review / workload on daily basis
Carry out sample reviews with design, tech, account manager and director
Manage samples being processed by development team
About you:
Must be very organised with good creative energy
Experience in a similar product area is essential with a history of working with denim and cargos product areas
